In spite of Azerbaijan’s persistent efforts, the University of Amsterdam hosted the seminar devoted to the problems with Artsakh’s independence with the title "Unrecognized Countries: What is the Solution to the Problem?" on November 8. The conference was organized by the Armenian National Committee of the Netherlands with the parliamentarians of Artsakh and the Netherlands, reports the Diary of the Netherlands, according to Hayern Aysor.

The organizing of this seminar was scandalous for Azerbaijan. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Netherlands, as well as local Turkish and Azerbaijani organizations had been trying to cancel the seminar by sending letters of protest to the Parliament and the Government of the Netherlands and even to the administration of the University.

The officials serving the totalitarian regime of Azerbaijan received an adequate response to their imposition. Deputy of the faction of the Socialist Party (SP) of the Parliament of the Netherlands Harry van Bommel qualified the Ambassador’s letter as "simple and political terror" against him. The response from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Lilian Plumen was clearer. "We will put this issue on the agenda of ne***iations with Azerbaijan. We live in a free country, and Mr. van Bommel has all the rights to freedom of speech, " the minister said.

When the Diary of the Netherlands spread the news about Azerbaijan’s failure to Russian media outlets, this made the propaganda machine serving the Azerbaijani government break into frenzy. The "famous" correspondent for vesti.az explained that the parliamentarian’s and the government official’s attitude towards Azerbaijan, 20% of the territory integrity of which has been violated, was due to the influence of marijuana and use of vodka of Artsakh and with other ridiculous statements.
