Turkish firm called Sardes exported from Venezuela to Turkey gold with a total value of $ 900 million. About it reports Bloomberg.

The company was founded in December 2017, two months after the Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro visited his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.

In the first month of 2018, she transported gold for $ 41 million, next year, to 100 million. In relations between the two countries this is unprecedented cooperation, the Agency said.

In late January, the opposition-controlled national Assembly (Parliament) of Venezuela said about the attempt to export 20 tons of gold from the country. According to opponents of the incumbent President Nicolas Maduro, it could head to Russia. In Moscow, this version was denied, but on January 31 in the Russian capital landed the plane arriving from Venezuela with an unknown cargo on Board.

On 23 January amid mass protests the opposition leader of Venezuela and speaker of Parliament Joan Guido declared himself interim head of state and called on acting President Nicolas Maduro to resign and hold new elections. It was supported by the United States, Canada, most Latin American countries, Israel, Australia. Russia, Iran, Turkey and Belarus have supported Maduro.
