The Parliament of the Slovak Republic has recently adopted a resolution on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with 110 votes in favor and 2 abstentions. The resolution essentially reaffirms the position of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs that there is no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and calls for a ceasefire, as well as it reaffirms the three basic principles of the conflict resolution: the right of peoples to self-determination, territorial integrity and prohibition of threat or use of force.
During the preparation process of the resolution, thanks to the efforts of both Armenian diplomats and Armenians living in Slovakia and friends of Armenia, it became possible to neutralize the reflection of Azerbaijan's unconstructive and unbalanced approaches in this resolution.

As the Head of the Friendship Group Armenia-Slovakia, I appreciate the consistency and constant attention of my Slovak colleagues to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
