Polish politician Tomasz Lech Bucek wrote on his Facebook page: ,,Azerbaijan is moving to polish out medieval Armenian inscriptions on captured Armenian churches. Aliyev announced the inscriptions are “fake” and the churches will be remodeled back to their original Albanian, as he says, origins.

STATEMENT
DECLARATION ON THE ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIAN ABOUT THE ELIMINATION OF ARMENIAN INSCRIPTION IN ARTSAKH
I received with concern the news of President Iliam Aliyev's statement that the medieval Armenian inscriptions on Artsakh monuments are forged and will be liquidated. Such an announcement was made by the President of Azerbaijan.
This is another crime of Azerbaijan, this time against the culture and heritage of the World.
The falsification of history is a guiding element of Azerbaijan's foreign policy. It is a testimony to the barbaric politics of Azerbaijan. Funding the conservation of monuments by the Heydər Əliyev Foundation in Europe will not erase this criminal practice.
I would like to emphasize that two important events shaped the Armenian Nation, the first was the Baptism Nation in 301 and the creation of the Armenian Alphabet introduced in 405 AD by the Saint Mesrop Mashtots. Where documents and history are located in the heart of Armenia at the Matenadaran Museum.
I also appeal to President Iliam Alijev to start learning the Armenian language, in particular the Old Armenian Grabar, to learn the true history of Artsakh written in stone,,.
