Today, during the press-conference devoted to the extraordinary report on the rude violations of Armenian war prisoners’ rights by Azerbaijan, torturing them and exposing them to inhuman treatment, the conditions of keeping hostages, the legal defence of civilians, Arman Tatoyan, Human Rights Defender of the RA, mentioned that there had been cases, when the Armenian war prisoners were kept in chains in Azerbaijan.
''The servicemen had been tied to heater batteries and warmers with special chains… the servicemen who had taken part in the 2016 war or the first Artsakh war bore most of the cruel treatment'', the Defender mentioned.
''There had been a case when a 20-year-old serviceman in captivity, who has repatriated, was forced to wear a women’s dress, mocked, humiliated, then all the scene was recorded and the soldier was forced to utter words praising the Azerbaijani government'', Tatoyan said.
