Tigran Petrosian would have been 90 today. An absolute mystery of a player, who was equally gifted in all fields of the game, but mostly preferred some sort of a sleepy approach just to explode when his opponents didn’t expect it. Extremely competitive yet very pragmatic. His uniqueness keeps me coming back to his games.

One of my first memories connected to Petrosian was coming back home from Palace of Pioneers and telling my mum that I played like Petrosian since I played the English opening I was 9 and like many kids from the class I was a proud owner of Iron Tigran's book " Стратегия надежности"
