"Nearly 300,000 people" have marched in 200 cities, assured the Montreuil power station, insisting – in an unusual satisfaction these days – on the "success" of this day. The Ministry of the Interior for its part counted 137,200 demonstrators throughout France: it is better than in the last 10 "acts" (out of 12) of mobilization of "yellow vests", according to the figures communicated each Saturday by the Place Beauvau.

In Paris, 30,000 people walked between the City Hall and the Concorde according to the CGT, 18,000 for the prefecture of police, 14,000 according to the firm Occurrence, mandated by a media collective including Franceinfo. During his last procession in the capital, on December 14, the CGT had mobilized less: 15,000 protesters according to her, 6,000 for the police. In protests on Tuesday, there were numerous demands: higher wages, tax justice, opposition to the reform of the high school or increased registration fees for foreign students, the right to demonstrate or defense of public service.

In Marseille, 5,200 people, according to the police, demonstrated between the Old Port and the Saint-Charles station. If the CGT dominated very widely, several hundred "yellow vests" were present in the middle of procession. "Our demands are the same, we must all be together", said Brigitte, a pensioner who receives a pension of 680 euros. She joined the "yellow vests" in Fos-sur-Mer. "There comes a time when all the struggles come together, without convergence with the parties and the unions we will not achieve anything", she says.
