The daughter and grandson of the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev won the case on suspicion of “unjustified wealth” from the National crime Agency in the UK (NCA). It is reported by the Financial Times.The Supreme court ruled the Kingdom that Dariga Nazarbayeva and Nurali Aliyev innocent. They were charged with possession of property worth 80 million pounds (about 100 million), which was acquired on dishonestly earned money. It is noted that the NCA plans to appeal the decision.The judge stressed that Nazarbaeva “rich enough to pay for the property.” It is established that in recent years they have also almost no contact with Rakhat Aliyev, Nazarbayev’s former son-in-law who died in 2015. According to investigators NCA, the property could be bought as a result of his criminal activities.
