The teenagers were caught watching the game, which was played in Australia last week, on television in the Iraqi city of Mosul, which is under the terror groups control.

The young football fans were rounded up in front of crowds and shot dead by the firing squad who used machine guns, anti Islamic State activist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently reported.

They wrote on their website: "The bodies remained lying in the open and their parents were unable to withdraw them for fear of murder by terrorist organisation."

The boys "crime" - breaking religious laws by watching football - were announced via a loudspeaker before they were horrifically killed.

Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently is an activist group, which secretly documents the shocking violence and oppression IS brings to their city.

This comes just days after IS released a video showing two men being thrown off the top of a tower block in Mosul.

A masked jihadist explained their crimes using a small handheld radio.

He declared the men were guilty of engaging in homosexual activities and should be punished to death.

The terror group has taken over large swathes of Iraq and Syria in recent months, declaring the land it holds a "caliphate."

The Iraq v Jordan game, which took place in Brisbane last Monday, saw Swindon Town striker Yaser Kasim, 23 score the winning goal during the 1-0 match.
