As a direct result of his ascendancy to global superstardom, a university in Canada is now offering a course centred entirely around Ronaldo, his ever-swelling celebrity and his social influence.
Luis Aguiar, a sociology professor at the University of British Columbia, first conceived the idea for his Ronaldo class while observing the effect the Real Madrid man's presence had on the rest of the Portuguese nation during the World Cup in Brazil last summer.
